Thank you for visiting our website and for allowing me to briefly introduce M. Ahmed Daoud scope of work and our recent achievements.
Ahmed Daoud & Co. was originally established in 1939 in Cairo as a family-owned business, producing and importing basic electric motors, generating sets and pumps. The company quickly gained traction in the local market and began to expand its operations to meet the needs of its valued clientele.
Fast-forward to 1992, a turning point in our company’s history, when we founded MADICO, an incorporated group of factories for the production of state-of-the-art three-phase electric motors and diesel generating sets.
2010, we achieved significant progress in the implementation of our vertical integration strategy by acquiring the Egyptian Arab Pump Company (EAP) and leading the company through a comprehensive turnaround strategy that has greatly increased operating capacity, efficiency and sales volume.
2011 was also a landmark year. We installed a new testing system, able to test electric motors up to 855 horsepower. We added 9,000 square metres to EAP’s production floor and installed CNC machines, greatly improving overall efficiency. In addition, we opened a warehouse in Ras Al Kheimah (RAK) in the UAE, including an office and showroom. We also successfully designed, tested and brought to market a number of new products.
In 2012, we are already making good progress towards our goal of extending our product range, including treated water and raw water pumps for pumping stations and medium voltage motors. We also expect to receive the following certifications by year-end: OHSAS 18001 Occupational Health & Safety; ISO 14001 Environmental Management, and ISO 17025 Competence of Calibration and Testing Laboratories.
In the coming years, we will continue towards our goal of providing the full range of quality-assured electric motors, pumps and generators, all at competitive prices.
Last but not least, I have to thank our customers and staff for the success that we have met in recent times. We are now the number one in manufacturing of electric motors in the region
