M. Ahmed Daoud has been in the business of electric motors since 1939. In the early 1990’s we introduced three-phase electric motors.
Since then, we have steadily increased the horsepower we offer, reaching 855 HP by 2008. We are currently the only electric motor factory producing motors of this horsepower in the MENA region.
These motors have a wide-range of practical uses, powering water pumps, boiler, construction cranes, etc. Today, M. Ahmed Daoud has a 70 percent local market share in washing machine motors and 3 phase motors.

1990: Installed push button Automatic Synchronizing ATS
1992: Established first privately-owned electric motor factory in Egypt, manufacturing 0.33 hp washing machine motors and 0.75 – 25 hp three-phase electric motors.
1994: Opened joint-venture electric motor factory in China
1996: Began assembling diesel generators up to 1000 kVA
1998: Became primary import and distribution agent for Nijhuis pumps
1998: Opened showroom in Alexandria, Egypt
2000: Began assembling diesel generators up to 2000 kVA
2001: Achieved production goal of 125 hp electric motors.
2003: Established research and development (R& D) office in Germany
2003: Became primary import and distribution agent for Aquasystem tanks
2004: Became primary import and distribution agent for Fagiolati pumps
2004: Opened new facility for production of electric motors
2005: Achieved production goal of 270 hp electric motors.
2006: Established joint-venture foundry for cast iron in Egypt
2008: Achieved production goal of 855 hp electric motors.
2009: Installed a Semi-automatic washing machine motors line (45w up to 200w)
2009: Established joint-venture transformer factory in Egypt
2010: Acquired the Egyptian Arab Pump Company (EAP).
2010: Opened warehouse and office in UAE
2010: Opened showroom in Mansoura, Egypt
2011: Installed type test equipment for electric motors up to 855 hp
2011: Opened showroom in Sixth of October City, Egypt
